This cartridge’s 149 grain FMJ is loaded to a muzzle velocity of 2,790 fps, placing it squarely within the confines of the military’s own M80 specification. The bullet has a solid lead core and gilding metal jacket that does contain steel and will attract a magnet. Its cannelure helps to avert setback in the magazine and chamber. Its consistent weight and dimensions promote satisfying target-grade accuracy. It’s all you need to riddle some targets at the old rifle range!

This ammo is brand new, not military surplus, with non-corrosive Boxer primers. It’s not reloaded, either – its brass cases are ashen around their mouths because they have been heat-treated without subsequently being polished. That promotes cleaner, more efficient ignition and keeps the cases reloadable longer.
