The average 115 grain load has a muzzle velocity of around 1,180 fps. This zippy little round’s muzzle velocity is 1,320 fps. We say play it safe: only fire this high-velocity 9mm ammunition in a firearm that is rated for overpressure (aka +P) ammo.

The military does not use jacketed hollow point ammo. They use FMJs, for humanitarian reasons. This round’s FMJ would have been unremarkable if not for its flat nose profile. In combat, the flat nose is likelier to deal more damage than a round nose would. But this ammo is not intended for fighting. It is offered exclusively for peaceful target practice at the range, where its FMJ FN bullets will poke nice, clean holes through paper targets.
