Winchester - Full Metal Jacket - 85 Grain 7.62mm Tokarev Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
In 1930 the Russians explored a new round to replace the 7.62 Nagant, settling on the 7.62x25 Tokarev. Predominantly based on the 7.63 Mauser, bottlenecked cartridge, the Tokarev round is loaded to higher pressures, and should not be fired in the older, Mauser pistols. For the TT-30, TT-33 and Czech CZ-52 pistols, along with the PPSh carbines however, these are the firearms for which the cartridge was designed. This 85 grain full metal jacket round by Winchester has a muzzle velocity of 1645 feet per second with 511 foot pounds of energy. This is designed to provide equivalent ballistics of some of the “hotter” Warsaw Pact ammunition in this caliber and care should be taken to not chamber in older firearms originally chambered in the Mauser round. In approved firearms, however, this is an ideal and, perhaps more importantly, non-corrosive choice.
The Winchester white box is one of the common standards of uncommon quality in commercial ammunition. It is among the most popularly recognized brand name in American firearms, and has remained so thanks to a commitment to quality production standards. Made in Missouri, Winchester brass cases and boxer primers are among the most favored of custom handloaders, making this less common caliber product of particular value.
