Winchester doesn’t load their high-volume target ammo with low-quality features, of course. This shotgun shell’s 1-1/8 ounce charge of shot is backed by a consistent primer and powder charge, so you can expect similar performance from any two rounds in a case of 250. The one-piece wad is hinged at the waist, which enables it to compress, absorb recoil energy, and keep the #8 lead shot pellets rounder until they neatly depart from the full-length shot cup.

You could find target ammo with a muzzle velocity higher than 1,145 fps, but then you wouldn’t get to experience this light load’s comfortingly gentle recoil. Less fatigue. Faster follow-ups! A dram equivalent of only 2-3/4, though, which is why this ammo may not cycle some semi-automatics.
