410 Bore - 2-1/2" 1/2 oz. #7-1/2 Shot - Fiocchi Exacta Target Loads - 25 Rounds
Details
The .410 bore shotshell was introduced in 1857. But came into its own by the 1890s as a personal defense shot shell: often used in discrete gun canes and the like. For sporting use, the .410 is popular for its comparatively low recoil and use by novice hunters and others who tend to the side of recoil sensitivity. That the .410 also shares the same rim base with the .45 Long Colt (and its variants and spin off calibers) has also inspired a line of revolvers that can chamber shotshell and cartridge alike. The 2.5” shot shell by Fiocchi fires a half ounce of #7.5 lead shot (175 pellets measuring .095” in diameter) at a muzzle velocity of 1250 feet per second. This is ideal for upland birding as well as small game at close range.
Fiocchi Ammunition was founded in Italy in 1876 and benefitted from beginning at the start of the self contained cartridge revolution. The Italian manufacturer was well established for providing premium sporting cartridges to Europe’s elites. In recent years, in cooperation with Smith & Wesson, Fiocchi has opened a plant in Springfield, Missouri to supply US markets. Fiocchi shells are boxer primed for reloading benefit.
