Tula Cartridge Works - Full Metal Jacket - 150 Grain 308 Winchester Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
Tula's 150 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) has a muzzle velocity of around 2800 feet per second with over 2600 foot pounds of energy. This is a round designed for range training and target shooting. Tula is known around the world for economical ammo that performs exceptionally well for the money.
Tula Cartridge works provides ammunition under contract to several countries' militaries as well as Russia's. It meets exacting standards of quality and reliability in functioning. While the cases are steel and with berdan primers, shooters generally find that the relative low cost of the ammunition more than offsets the inability to use the cases for reloads. Check firearm specifications to see if steel cased loads are recommended for use in your particular weapon: case hardness can damage older firearms.
The .308 Winchester is the civilian equivalent of the 7.62x51 NATO cartridge, however it predates the release of the NATO round by about two years and is actually loaded to slightly increased pressure. Winchester released the .308 as a short action cartridge that could have similar ballistics to the .30-06. While there is a pressure load difference between the two cartridges, the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI) finds that there is no danger of cross loading either cartridge in firearms chambered in either caliber.
