Tula Cartridge Works - Full Metal Jacket - 122 Grain 7.62X39 Ammo - 1000 Rounds
Details
Since its introduction during World War II, the 7.62x39 medium rifle round has become the cartridge of the people. Or at least that is how it has been advertised: others see it as the cartridge of a repressive state or simply the most common round on the battlefield in third-world wars. Whatever its connotation, its reputation is associated with simplistic reliability and durable performance: the cartridge works equally well in deserts, jungles and tundra rarely failing to feed or fire. Tula Cartridge Work’s 122 grain fmj round exits the muzzle with 2396 ft per sec and 1702 ft lbs of energy. This is the range training and service round that was issued to the Soviets, Russian states and Cold War allies of communism. To say that it has been field tested and approved would be a gross understatement.
Providing ammunition to all those allies and conscripted soldiers “of the people” was no small feat, and Tula was one of the primary manufacturers of the 7.62x39 cartridge through it all. Today they still provide for the Russian Federation as well as for commercial export. The Russians don’t need precision performance, but they do like consistently reliable performance, and Tula provides. The steel cases are berdan primed and designed to fire no matter what the exterior conditions are or how long the rounds have been in storage. This 1000 round case is perfect for range day, group exercises or just keeping around for the “what if” insurance.
