This isn’t 50-year-old Russian military surplus. It was made very recently in the country of Azerbaijan, and it was brought to the Land of the Free by Tela Impex. The Floridian company tested out 50,000 rounds to make sure they were good to go, so you can count on reliable performance when you sign up for the big box.

These are steel-cased cartridges: economical, yet not reloadable. Each round is armed with a noncorrosive Berdan primer, as well as a non-expanding 65 grain full metal jacket bullet. The FMJ’s lead core is surrounded by a steel jacket (with a wafer-thin copper coating for better cosmetics). It will attract a magnet, and is therefore unwelcome at several indoor ranges.
