Specifically, we’re talking about Berdan primers, steel cases, and bimetal jacketed FMJ bullets.
• Berdan primers are slightly cheaper to manufacture than Boxer. They’re also noncorrosive, so don’t even worry about having to boil your AK.
• Steel cases are significantly cheaper to manufacture than brass. They’re not reloadable, but they are easy to pick up off the ground using a magnet.
• Bimetal jackets are also significantly cheaper to manufacture than brass. They do contain steel, however, which makes them verboten at many ranges.
