Details

Speer’s Lawman training ammunition is a great choice for … well, training! This 9mm round’s 124 grain bullet delivers recoil and point of aim that are highly consistent with JHP self-defense loads. The time you spend destroying targets with this ammo will give you experience that carries over into real-life hairy situations!

A Lawman bullet features a total metal jacket. It sounds similar to a full metal jacket, the type of bullet most frequently utilized for training, but the TMJ is even better because its jacket additionally covers the base of the bullet. This prevents the lead in the core from melting during ignition, keeping the bullet’s profile intact for more consistent ballistics. More importantly, a TMJ prevents the lead in the core from evaporating. This keeps the air around you measurably less toxic as you’re working the targets over, a tremendous benefit to your health if you spend a lot of time haunting indoor ranges.

This round’s clean burning propellant and non-corrosive primer deliver a stable 1,090 fps muzzle velocity out of a 4” barrel, another reason for its highly similar performance to many self-defense rounds. Speer houses their TMJ and high quality explosive components in a new brass case, just what you want for smooth cycling in your semi-auto and the option to subsequently handload.

Please note: This bullet’s jacket may become damaged by a ported barrel or ported recoil compensator, which can seriously injure the shooter.
