Sellier & Bellot - Soft Point Cutting Edge(SPCE) - 150 Grain 308 Winchester Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The round that became the .308 Winchester began development after World War I when the US military had concerns about developing semi and full automatic weapons in the standard .30-06 Springfield due to the long case. Browning and Garand attended to that concern nullifying a need for a new round, but after Korea, as the US became more and more involved with NATO coalition forces, a caliber change became necessary. In the meantime, Winchester continued with their development of a shorter .30, released in the early 1950's in the form of the .308. The 7.62x51 NATO round, adopted 2 years later is physically identical, and firearms in either chamber may safely fire the other round. Sellier & Bellot's 150 grain soft point cutting edge (SPCE) bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2756 feet per second with 2530 foot pounds of energy. This bullet is designed to open up after impact in a consistently reliable manner for guaranteed energy transferal into the target and is ideal as a hunting caliber.
Sellier & Bellot has been providing ammunition for both government and civilian applications for almost two centuries. Prized for the additional value in boxer primed brass cases, especially in this particular caliber.
