Sellier & Bellot - Soft Point - 55 Grain 22-250 Remington Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
.22-250 Remington ammunition began its life as a wildcat cartridge in 1937 before being adopted by Remington in 1965. Once adopted and being made more commercially available it is one of the most popular varminting and target rounds in the market. Browning made a rifle chambered in it to years before Remington started delivering. It is the first non-Weatherby round that company ever chambered for its rifles. It is designed to put small holes in virtually anything at range without being adversely affected by high winds. The 55 grain soft point bullet by Sellier & Bellot leaves the barrel at 3786 feet per second with 1751 foot pounds. While legislated caliber minimums restrict the cartridge against medium and larger game, it is very effective for reaching out to extreme ranges to remove prairie dogs, ground hogs and the like.
Sellier & Bellot continues to be on the front line of reliable and purpose specific ammunition production. Founded in the 1820s in what is now the Czech State, the company has participated in every development of the munition’s industry from flintlock to modern, technologically enhanced bullet design. Further, cases are reloadable, which is a common desire of shooters of this particular caliber.
