Sellier & Bellot - Soft Point - 180 Grain 7.62x54r Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The 7.62x54 R, for Rimmed, not Russian, is the longest serving modern military cartridge - rifle or pistol - to date having been introduced with the model 1891 Mosin Nagant and serving on through the present day not only in Russia but in all Eastern bloc and PRC associates. While it may not have many frills, it is a round that works. Sellier & Bellot’s 180 grain soft point bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2624 feet per second with 2753 foot pounds. Unlike surplus ammunition, this is a premium hunting round for wild boar up to large deer. While there are not many current production firearms in this caliber, with the exception of modern Russian style sniper rifles, there is a great many Mosin Nagant M91 riflles as well as its variants. Either stock or with custom upgrades, the 7.62x54R shows no sign of becoming obsolete any time soon.
In Europe, Sellier & Bellot is an ammunition manufacturer as old as Remington. The Bohemian company began making munition components in the 1820s. Today, American shooters are increasingly familiar with the S&B lines of range and hunting ammo and the evident quality. Brass cases are fully reloadable for additional value to handloading shooters.
