Sellier & Bellot - Lead Round Nose - 158 Grain 38 Special Ammo - 1000 Rounds
Details
Smith & Wesson’s Hand Ejector model, with its novel, swing out cylinder, was first introduced chambered for the company’s .32 Long. However, in the 1890s there was a pressing need for a larger caliber that provided better performance than the standard .38 Long Colt without being a “full” .45 caliber. So, .38 Special ammo was introduced in 1898 and has successfully filled that role for over a century. Adopted as a standard law enforcement round, it remains popular with target and defensive shooters even today in the age of the “wonder 9.”
Sellier & Bellot’s 158 grain, lead round nosed bullet has a muzzle velocity of 997 ft per sec with 349 ft lbs of energy. This is a purpose specific round for range training and target shooting with any revolver chambered in .38Sp, +P or even .357 magnum.
Sellier & Bellot is among the largest members of the international CBC group. It is also perhaps the oldest continuous running ammunition manufacturing member. S&B began in the 1820 producing ammo components and complete cartridges as the development of the metallic round was developed. Manufactured with a reliable powder mix loaded in reloadable cases, shooters and trainers alike have found the brand to be a dependable product for their purposes.
