This round’s 180 grain bullet doesn’t achieve an abnormally fast muzzle velocity. S&B just decided to record its 1,165 fps muzzle velocity with a 6” barrel, which is longer than many 10mm handguns have. (Longer barrel = higher muzzle velocity.) The jacketed hollow point’s notched copper-zinc alloy jacket and precision-formed nose cavity are all it needs to deliver debilitating terminal expansion.
