Sellier & Bellot - Full Metal Jacket - 95 Grain 9mm Makarov Ammo - 1000 Rounds
Details
Russian military orthodoxy maintained a common bore size for all military weapons since 1891, and that was always 7.62mm (.30 cal). By the end of World War II, the Soviets had decided that their service pistol, the TT-30 and TT33, along with the old 1895 Nagant revolvers, needed a replacement, but the goal was for something simple to manufacture and reliable. Straight blowback pistols fit the bill, yet were maxed out at .380 (9mmx17) caliber, the Russians wanted something a little more powerful, but the design specifications were limited. Therefore, in 1946, a new round was made, the 9mmx18, or Makarov. Easily mass produced by all what would become Warsaw Pact and Soviet sphere of influence countries, the caliber became a mainstay of the Eastern Hemisphere.
The 95 grain full metal jacket bullet by Sellier & Bellot has a muzzle velocity of 1017 feet per second with 218 foot pounds of energy. This is a range training and target shooting round.
1000 rounds of Sellier & Bellot’s 9mm Mak rounds is enough to convince anyone of the company’s quality and reliability. S&B has been making ammo since the 1820’s and matched the technological advances of the modern metallic cartridge as they happened. Reloadable cases sweeten the deal for shooters of this military cartridge.
