Sellier & Bellot - Full Metal Jacket - 110 Grain 30 Carbine Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
In 1940 the US Army started looking for a median round between the full service .30-06 rifle round the .45 ACP sidearm. The result was the .30 caliber carbine. An evolutionary offshoot of the .32 Winchester self loading round, the narrower round has been decidedly more popular than the parent cartridge. S&B's 110 grain FMJ bullet has a muzzle velocity of over 2000 feet per second and 1000 foot lbs. It is designed for penetration and an ease of use that the M1 Carbine, the rifle for which the round was developed, is most praised for. While not among the most common of military calibers, the .30 Carbine has continued on for 80 years being an appreciated round utilized in several other rifles as well as handguns. It is a cartridge that continues to soldier on. The ballistics of these modern rounds deny the rumor that the .30 carbine was too small to be of much value in war: it was highly prized in the theatres of the South Pacific and Vietnam.
Sellior & Bellot has been a Czech ammunition manufacturer for almost 200 years through some of the most impressive conflicts in the western world. Brass cased boxer primers make this product of substantial value to .30 cal carbine shooters.
