6.5x52mm Carcano Ammo
Introduced in 1891 in what was then the Kingdom of Italy, the 6.5x52mm Carcano is a rifle cartridge used by the Italian military until 1970. It is sometimes used in the US (occasionally under the name "6.5mm Italian") due to the large number of Carcano rifles imported in the 20th century.
A typical round of 6.5mm Carcano ammo fires a 123-162 grain round nosed bullet at a muzzle velocity of about 2,200 feet per second. With proper soft point bullets, this caliber can take deer at up to 200 yards.
Prvi Partizan still produces 6.5mm Carcano ammo, with full metal jacket and soft point varieties available.
