Remington - Full Metal Jacket - 180 Grain 40 Smith & Wesson Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
This is quality 40SW ammo for training from Remington. The 180 grain full metal jacket is the slower of the two most common .40 bullet weights moving at just under 1000 feet per second hitting with 392 foot pounds of energy: it is not too dissimilar to the .45 ACP, but with the ability to carry more in the magazine. It is ideal for target shooting without the wear and tear of the hotter cartridges.
The .40 Smith & Wesson caliber was a direct result of the FBI's search for a more potent round than the service calibers then in service. While the 10mm Auto was what the Feds wanted in terms of ballistics, the recoil was more substantial than was manageable for many agents. The alternative was to shorten the 10mm case to reduce powder charge and the result was the .40 S&W.
Remington is among the oldest firearms manufacturers in the United States, having begin shortly after the end of the War of 1812 in New York. It is a name associated with a proud tradition of quality firearms and that has extended also to the ammunition line of production. Produced in Lonoke, Arkansas for over 35 years, Remington ammo line is prized for its premium reloadable cases with boxer primers.
