Prvi Partizan - Soft Point - 208 Grain 8X56R Mannlicher Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The 1895 Steyr Manlicher, straight pull rifle is quite an interesting rifle given its action and slim lines. Few remain chambered in the original 8x50mm Rimmed chambering as the Austrians rechambered all their rifles in 1930 to a more modern, and logistically sensible round, the 8x56mm Rimmed cartridge presented here. The Hungarians and Bulgarians, who also issued the M1895 quickly followed suit with the rechambering, and then served through to the end of World War II. There are few, though some, sporting rifles in this cartridge, but for anyone who has a surplus Steyr, PRVI offers one of the only yet still dependably performing means of keeping the rifle in service. The 208 grain soft point bullet by PRVI has a muzzle velocity of 2297 feet per second with over 2430 foot pounds of force. This is an idea cartridge for use as a deer cartridge, but also simply for keeping the unique Steyr rifles making noise for new shooters to enjoy.
Shooters in the United States have become increasingly familiar with the PRVI/PPU headstamp for its strict military standards of quality in dependable performance and reloadable cases. The company is also well known for providing calibers that cannot be found just anywhere, and they always worth a look to see what old mil surplus or antique firearm may get a new lease on life.
