Prvi Partizan - Soft Point - 196 Grain 8mm Mauser Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
More precisely known as the 7.92x57 S, for Spitzer, the 8mm Mauser was adopted by the German army in 1904 to replace their 1888 8mm round. The Spitzer is pointed and provides better ballistics more reliably and satisfactorily than its predecessor. The 8mm Mauser became one of the most widely used military rifle cartridges in the world during the 20th century and is the most common chambering for military surplus bolt action rifles. Many cut down war relics (sacrilege!) were kept in this 8mm chambering because of the round's consistent reliability and hard hitting accuracy. PRVI's 196 grain round achieves a velocity of 2600 feet per second and hits with 2990 foot pounds. Ballistics that compete easily with the .30-06, and with the jacketed soft point (SP) is ideal for deer hunting with good penetration and expansion.
PRVI Partizan has a long history with the 8mm Mauser having made it during the World War II German occupation since the Yugoslavian army used the round since the end of World War I. To this date, Serbia fields a modern sniper rifle in 8mm Mauser that is fed a steady diet of PRVI Partizan to satisfactory results. Sporter conversions function no less perfectly. Brass cased boxer primers are suitable for reloading purposes.
