Prvi Partizan - Soft Point - 174 Grain 7.5x55 Swiss Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The Swiss 7.5x55 Schmidt Rubin rifle started arriving on US markets in the late 1990s and its odd, straight pull action and unique caliber of ammunition kept it mostly as a curiosity, mostly only of interest to US military collectors. As these rifles were purchased at low introductory prices, however, world began to spread. The Swiss have a reputation for precision machining and quality performance and this was not lost on the Swiss rifles and their slick actions. Originally introduced in 1889, the 7.5 Swiss round went through several incarnations and the modern ammunition should not be fired in any model predating 1911, even though it will chamber. The 174 grain soft point bullet by PRVI has a muzzle velocity of 2526 feet per second with 2465 foot pounds of energy. Often compared to a .308 Winchester’s performance, but few Swiss rifles have been rechambered to that more common round: why mess with a good thing? This cartridge is ideal for deer hunting or for range and competition shooting with these very accurate and quick cycling mil surplus rifles.
PRVI Partizan continues to provide modern production ammunition of older calibers to keep the C&R and collector crowd firing away at the range. Using time proven bullet designs and reloadable cases manufactured to strict government requirements, this is the brand looked for at large guns shows by people looking to keep history alive.
