PMC - Full Metal Jacket - 55 Grain 5.56x45mm Ammo - 1000 Rounds
Details
In the 1950’s the US military began its search for a new standard military round to supplement the newly adopted 7.62x51 NATO. The goal was to find a cartridge with similar effectiveness at range yet be much more manageable for sustained automatic fire from hand held service rifles by individual soldiers. The result was the .223 Remington, which was shortly after up-pressured to become the current 5.56mm NATO round. While physically very similar to the .223 and able to be chambered in those chambers, this round should not be fired in .223 chambered firearms. PMC’s X-Tact 55 grain full metal jacket rounds exit the muzzle at 3,120 feet per second with 1,189 foot pounds of energy. This 1000 round case lot is ideal for keeping on hand for training day, competitions or for any number of “what if” scenarios.
