Details

Psst. Wanna buy 27 boxes of 5.56x45mm ammunition? No more, no less? That’s oddly specific, but it’s exactly the kind of attitude that’ll make you happy to see this case of ammo by Old Army!

To be sure, this ammunition isn’t old, nor was it made for – or previously owned by – any country’s military. It was made for Old Army (a veteran-owned business in Washington) by ATS Ammunition, which is headquartered in the nation of Macedonia and has been in business since 1981.

This ammo isn’t just not milsurp. It’s also not magnetic! Each round’s 55 grain full metal jacket projectile is comprised of a PbSb (lead-antimony) core and CuZn10 (brass) shell. It’s fit for action in all semi-automatic rifles, and suitable for use at all commercial gun ranges to boot.

In true M193 fashion, this round’s muzzle velocity is perfectly normal at 3,240 fps (24” test barrel). If you’re not already familiar with M193, just know that it’s the most elementary sort of 5.56 you could choose for target shooting. Most of the ARs you see at the range are probably firing M193!

This ammo’s new brass cases seat corrosion-free Boxer primers, which are each ringed with a little sealant for added security against water.
