Magtech - Lead Round Nose - 146 Grain 38 Smith & Wesson Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
The .38 Smith & Wesson (NOT Special) was introduced in 1877 and quickly became a popular chambering for the plethora of top break revolvers made by S&W, H&R, Allen Thurber, Hamilton and a great many other companies no longer in business. While there are a great many of these top breaks that are available on the Curios & Relics list, perhaps the most famous firearm in this caliber is the Webley series used by British and Commonwealth forces from the 1920s through to the 1960s – their 200 grain bullet was the UK’s “man stopper” with some variants challenged under the Geneva convention. Magtech’s 146 grain lead round nosed bullet has a muzzle velocity of 686 feet per second with 152 foot pounds of energy. It is well designed for keeping the aforesaid series of top breaks of the 19th and early 20th century happily blasting away into the 21st century.
Magtech’s presence on the US shooting market was established since 1990 and it quickly became a source not only of common shooting calibers for the range and training, but also a source of an increasing number of more obscure calibers that otherwise would fetch a hefty premium by other makers. Further, Magtech offers its products with boxer primed cases for additional value.
