Magtech - Lead Flat Nose - 125 Grain 38 Special Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
In 1898 Smith & Wesson took the .38 Long Colt cartridge and lengthened it to create a more potent round than the LC round. The latter had received less than stellar reviews in service with the US Army while serving in the Philippines. The .38Sp, on the other hand was well received for its easy recoil and inherent accuracy. For several decades, going well into the 1970’s, it was the primary law enforcement round in the US and remains very popular with target shooters and for personal defense.
The 125 grain flat nosed lead round by Magtech has a muzzle velocity of 919 feet per second with 234 foot pounds of energy. It is a good target shooting and training round, the flat nose providing easy reads on paper targets. It is additionally well suited for use in single action, wild west style competitive matches: the flat tipped bullet being safe to fire in tube magazine carbines and rifles of that sport.
As a provider of economically priced target shooting and range training ammo, Magtech’s reputation was established in 1990 and has only grown in both popularity and product lines. Cases are boxer primed and fully reloadable, providing further value for shooters of this caliber.
