Magtech - Full Metal Coat - 150 Grain 308 Winchester Ammo - 1000 Rounds
Details
In 1952, Winchester introduced the .308 as a short cased alternative to the .30-06 Springfield. Development on this round began at the end of World War I when the US army found that the long Springfield case was less than ideal for the adopting of semi and full automatic weapons. John Browning and John Garand both solved those issues, for the next four decades, however, a short action capable .30 caliber continued to be developed. The result was used as the basis for the standardization of a .30 caliber for the NATO alliance: the 7.62x51 which is physically identical to the .308 Winchester, though the latter is loaded to slightly higher pressure. The 150 grain full metal jacket bullet by Magtech has a muzzle velocity of 2820 feet per second with 2649 foot pounds of energy. It is perfect for target shooting, competitive and training purposes.
Magtech’s presence at the range has steadily grown since its arrival on the scene in 1990. This is because it offers a premium cartridge at a bargain rice, complete with reloadable brass cases for additional value. Magtech’s growth is also measured in their increasing line of defense and competitive ammunition. This 1,000 round case is ideal for keeping on hand for an intensive training weekend.
