Details
Igman d.d. Konjic isn’t the best known ammo manufacturer, but they do get around. The Bosnia and Herzegovina company currently exports its 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition to five of the world’s seven continents, including the best continent of them all: the United States of America. That’s right! Cheap Ammo just upgraded the U.S. to continent status.
Igman’s high-tech production facility employs over 1,300 people. They probably weren’t all directly involved in creating this M193 spec ammo’s 55 grain full metal jackets. Those are lead-core, copper-alloy jacketed bullets, which are vastly preferred for target shooting and the art of high-volume plinking. Igman’s ammo is completely nonmagnetic, which is why it’s perfect if your range is picky about what makes it to their firing line.
This ammo was recently produced specifically for the commercial market (hence its fancy packaging). It is loaded with sealed noncorrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. Some folks ask us why the cases are discolored. We tell them that’s the normal byproduct of the annealing process which makes a brass case springier and more effective at its job.
