Hornady - Z-MAX - 55 Grain 223 Remington Ammo - 200 Rounds
Details
Since its introduction in 1962, the .223 Remington was initially questioned than overwhelmingly adopted on the US commercial market. While a competent varmint round in its own right, the overwhelming popularity of the AR15 series of rifles, carbines, and pistols, makes the cartridge virtually indispensable. The .223 Remington is also capable of being fired in .223 Wylde and 5.56NATO chambers, making it a versatile cartridge as well. Hornady’s 55 grain Z-Max bullet has a muzzle velocity of 3240 feet per second with 1282 foot pounds of energy. The Z-Max is simply Hornady’s V-Max bullet: a polymer tipped expanding bullet for superior ballistics and expansion on target, with the limited edition branding for the much anticipated zombie apocalypse. In the mean time this is a wonderfully acceptable round for civil defense as well as hunting of up to medium sized game.
Hornady ammunition is well known for its personal defense and sporting ammunition. The V-Max (and Z-Max) series of bullets are used by hunters as well as many law enforcement for their on and off duty weapons because of the performance to getting on, and expending all of the energy into, the target. Cases are also boxer primed and in much demand by custom handloaders for their own custom munitions projects.
