Hornady - V-MAX - 50 Grain 222 Remington Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The 50 grain V-Max bullet by Hornady has a muzzle velocity of 3395 feet per second with 1242 foot pounds of energy. The V-Max is a polymer tipped hollow point bullet suitable for hunting: it is the perfect mix of ballistic efficiency to target and expansion to transfer all its energy into the target.
Hornady ammunition began making its own cartridges in the 1960s with already two decades experience in bullet design, having made bullet jackets for the military since the 40s. Hornady is the name trusted by sportsmen all over the world when the first shot is the one that counts the most. Cases are boxer primed and reloadable for further value.
Remington’s .222 was introduced in 1950 as the first commercially successful rimless .22 caliber. Suitable for bench rest rifles, the “triple deuce” has less range than the larger .22 caliber centerfire cartridges that have become mainstream since. It also has less recoil, report and resulting wear than the other cartridges. However, it is very popular for dealing with pests, varmints and small game, and the cartridge remains very popular for its relatively easy handling in the field. It is also the parent case of the far more popular .223 Remington.
