Details
It’s time to settle the score with medium and large game. All you need is your 30-06 Springfield rifle, a reasonably good idea of where medium and large game animals are, and a case of Hornady’s American Whitetail label hunting ammunition!
This cartridge isn’t loaded with any ordinary soft point projectile. It features the InterLock, a soft point engineered to deliver super deadly terminal ballistics. The projectile’s InterLock ring and cannelure doubly lock its thick jacket shank and one-piece alloyed lead core together, so it avoids fragmentation that leads to shallow penetration. The InterLock bullet’s grooved, tapered jacket also secures reliably fast and wide expansion, so you can really knock a deer’s socks off.
Hornady captured this round’s 180 grain bullet’s 2700 fps muzzle velocity and 0.452 G1 ballistic coefficient with a 24” barrel. If your barrel is the same length and your sights are 1.5” high, then you can zero in at 200 yards and anticipate -8.7” drop at 300.
Hornady’s highest-quality reloadable brass cases, clean-burning powder and noncorrosive Boxer primers all promise outstanding reliability out in the field. This ammo is suitable for semi-automatics – with the exception of the M1 Garand, which it is not designed for.
