Hornady - Soft Point - 150 Grain 30-06 Ammo - 200 Rounds
Details
The .30-06 Springfield is a direct descendent of the .30-03 cartridge adopted by the US military in 1903. It may better be termed as a younger sibling as it uses the exact case as the 03, but uses a pointed or “spitzer” type bullet that proved to deliver more satisfying results at range. While a military round with the US for half a century it remains a popular sporting round all over the world, but most especially for American sportsmen for use on larger game. Additionally, it remains the caliber of choice for long distance military style target competitions. The American Whitetail brand, 150 grain bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2910 feet per second with 2820 foot pounds of energy. This is suitable for deer hunting, as the name implies, with soft point for controlled expansion and Hornady’s Interlock ring forged within the bullet to maintain mass for deeper penetration into the game.
Hornady has provides superior products in completed cartridges as well as components since the 1960s when it started production in its own name. Continually developing newer, more efficiently burning powder, better designed bullets and premium, reloadable cases, Hornady maintains its place at the head of ammunition manufacturing.
