Hornady - Jacketed Hollow Point - 180 Grain 10mm Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
In 1983 Lt Colonel Jeff Cooper helped introduce the 10mm Auto that was then offered in the introductory Bren Ten pistol. While the pistol did not meet with commercial success it did get some publicity on MIAMI VICE. The 10mm Auto was designed to bridge the gap between the stopping power of a .45 acp and the penetration of the 9mm. It was briefly adopted by the FBI in 1989, but its considerable recoil made it difficult for many agents to control. The result was the development of the .40 Smith & Wesson, a shortened 10mm Auto. Despite the FBI's abandonment of the 10, it was well received by sportsman shooters since and is prized as a self defense round with considerable stopping power. The 180 grain jacketed hollow point (JHP) round has a muzzle velocity of 1180 feet per second with over 550 foot pounds of energy. Self defense to "black bear medicine", Hornady is good for what ails you.
Since the 1960's Hornady has become recognized as providing top shelf sporting, hunting and self defense ammunition. Their XTP (eXtreme Terminal Performance) rounds are THE premium in defensive shooting cartridges. For when each shot counts, Hornady XTP delivers when put on target.
