Details
Hey buddy – we got a match for you: your 308 Win rifle, and Hornady Match 308 Win ammunition!
This ammunition gives you match-grade accuracy right out of the box. Take care that the hollow point boat tail isn’t a hunting bullet, though. It’d cream any varmints corn, no doubt about it, but it just won’t inflict the long, wide wound column which quickly anchors a buck.
This round’s 168 grain hollow point boat tail is one fine piece of hardware. A swaged lead core to promote greater in-flight stability. A honed AMP jacket to do the same. A secant ogive profile which minimizes frontal drag, and a boat tail which is angled to promote the best possible accuracy from a .30 cal bullet. All these features mesh together to give the projectile a 0.450 G1 BC. If fired from a 24” barrel with 1.5” high sights, the HPBT will reach a 200-yard zero with almost 2,000 ft lbs of energy and then drop -8.5” once it has coasted another 100 yards downrange.
Hornady’s HPBT Match bullets, carefully matched powder, premium primers, and specially selected reloadable brass cases are all assembled according to the strictest quality control protocol the Nebraskan company can pull off. Proof that they’re living up to their foundational motto: "Ten bullets through one hole."
