Hornady - Flex Tip Technology - 410 Bore Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
This Hornady 2.5” shell is loaded with a flex tip slug followed by two .35 caliber lead pellets for good measure and has a muzzle velocity of 750 feet per second with 294 foot pounds of energy. This is a defense round designed for use in any shotgun or the Taurus and S&W revolvers that are chambered for shot shells.
Hornady continues to offer cutting edge ammunition design for sporting and defensive applications. Begun as a bullet jacketing manufacturer during World War II, the company began making munitions of their own in the 1960s and today is the go to for when each shot needs to count.
The shotgun remains just as popular and effective a form of home and personal defense as it has since its earliest origins. While 12 gauge is the most ubiquitous of the scattergun calibers, the .410 has made large inroads into the shooting market. The reason for this is that it shares the same base as the .45 Long Colt and recently is used as a common revolver and break open pistol cartridge. Introduced in 1857, but market acceptance did not begin until 1900, the .410 packs enough wallop to deal with snakes on up to coyotes on the trail and in buck shot or slugs, delivers impressive results for home defense.
