This round’s 325 grain FTX bullet is polymer tipped, but the polymer is suppler than usual. As such the Flex Tip is too soft to ignite the primer it jostles up against in the magazine, so dropping your rifle won’t cause it to self-destruct.

The FTX is much more than just safe. Its streamlined tip and secant ogive jacket profile enable it to conquer frontal air resistance. Aim to 200 yards and the 0.230 G1 ballistic coefficient bullet will only drop -23” at 300 yards. The bullet also deposits over 1,000 ft lbs of energy into its target at 300 yards. A whitetail is no match for a well-placed blow from this ammo!

The FTX features Hornady’s InterLock ring. It mechanically locks the non-bonded jacket and lead-antimony alloy core together, thus preventing core/jacket separation that results in shallow penetration. And once that supple Flex Tip compresses inside the FTX’s nose cavity, it catalyzes crippling terminal expansion.

This Nebraska-made ammo has the Boxer primer and clean-burning powder it needs to display a 2,050 fps muzzle velocity out of a 24” barrel, plus the fine reloadable brass cases you’d expect from an outfit as respected as Hornady.
