This is no mere 300 BLK target ammunition, however. In addition to seamless compatibility with all types of firearms, Hornady loads this BLACK series ammo to deliver astoundingly consistent accuracy.

This is a subsonic load: 1,020 fps muzzle velocity when fired out of Hornady’s 16” test barrel. You can obviously expect a little reasonable variation, but you can also count on the subsonic velocity which eliminates bullet destabilization as a result of transitioning from super- to subsonic velocity.

The A-MAX bullet isn’t just heavy at 208 grains. Its sharp polymer tip and boat tail both diminish the amount of drag it stirs up, as does its ballistically efficient secant ogive profile. And thanks to hornady’s almost perfectly concentric AMP jacket – which conceals a uniform swaged lead core – the A-MAX boasts outstanding gyroscopic stability as well.
