Naturally, this 308 Win ammo is only good for 308 Win rifles. But it’s also ultra-accurate, because it sports Hornady’s own 168 grain A-MAX. The match bullet features a sharp pointed polymer tip that gently nudges air molecules aside. A secant ogive profile, which stirs up impressively little drag is it slips through the air. A boat tail, which further reduces drag so as to help the A-MAX follow a flatter and more precise trajectory. An Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket and swaged lead core, which both secure peak rotational stability with their exceptional balance.

It all pays off. When it clears the 24” barrel it needs in order to achieve its advertised 2,700 fps muzzle velocity, the A-MAX acquires a 0.475 G1 ballistic coefficient: the reason why it drops to -8.4” 100 yards downrange of a 200-yard zero.
