FN Herstal - V-MAX - 40 Grain 5.7x28mm Ammo - 2000 Rounds
Details
The 5.7x28mm round was developed in 1991 by FN Herstal as a potential replacement for the ubiquitous 9mm Luger. Developed completely from scratch the 5.7mm was designed to be smaller, so be able to offer more rounds per weight ration, with a high velocity that could defeat body armor if necessary. The round was essentially meant to be a fmj .22 WMR loaded into a reloadable case. The 40 grain V-Max bullet by FN has a muzzle velocity of 2034 feet per second with 367 foot pounds of energy. V-Max polymer tips offer ideal ballistics and accuracy and expansion upon entry into the target. This is a round suitable for varmint hunting, range training as well as personal defense. 2000 rounds is perfect for keeping on hand for range day or dooms day. Either way, you’ll be ready.
FN Herstal was founded in 1889 as a munitions provider for the Belgian military. While closely related to Browning - most handguns by FN were in fact designed and sold by John M. Browning - it is its own arms and munitions producer and is well regarded for premium quality and reliability. As one of only two producers of 5.7x25mm ammunition, Herstal’s reloadable brass cases provide further value, especially in this 2000 round lots.
