Fiocchi - Lead Round Nose - 262 Grain 455 Webley Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
Introduced for the MK I Webley revolver in 1891, the .455 caliber served in the British military as a side arm in a number of variants up thru the end of World War II. Similar to the .45 Auto, though with slightly lower terminal ballistics, the .455 served as a competent anti-personnel cartridge with mild recoil. Many of the original revolvers chambered in this caliber have since been rechambered into .45 ACP, but for those still set up as original, Fiocchi and Hornady are currently the only commercial makers of the caliber. From the former, this 262 grain lead round nosed bullet has a muzzle velocity of approximately 600 feet per second with 212 foot pounds of energy. It is ideal for target and recreational use out of the older guns that have been checked over by a qualified gunsmith. The nice thing about the Webleys is that that they were almost all made to be stronger than tanks.
Since 1876 Fiocchi ammunition has been on the front line of self-contained cartridge design as well as a provider of quality sporting and service ammunition to European shooters. Loaded with boxer primed and reloadable cases, they are one of the only providers of modern ammunition for this considerably less than common caliber.
