Fiocchi - Jacketed Hollow Point - 40 Grain 22 Magnum Ammo - 2000 Rounds
Details
Introduced in 1959 as an improved varmint and target shooting round, the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire has managed to establish itself for multiple purposes including target shooting and personal defense. For personal defense applications, the superior velocity of this small caliber round makes it quite potent at close range, limited only by its diameter. Hollow point and expanding bullets improve its potential and what ever is left lacking in initial damage is compensated for in capacity. Never the less, the round has gained a loyal following for personal defense as it has penetrative properties that are greater than many centerfire cartridges with far less recoil to contend with. The 40 grain jacketed hollow point bullet by Fiocchi has a muzzle velocity of 1910 feet per second with approximately 320 foot pounds of energy. It is perfect for varmint hunting and as a potential defense cartridge. The 2000 round lot is perfect for keeping on hand for “just in case.”
Fiocchi munitions began production in the late 19th century and got in on the ground floor, as it were of the latest technologies: self-contained cartridges then smokeless powder. A provider to the Italian military during both World Wars, Fiocchi has since gained a strong reputation for quality sporting ammunition as well as makers of some of the less common calibers for collectors. As always, brass cases by Fiocchi are boxer primers and so, fully reloadable.
