Federal Vital-Shok Nosler Partition 150 Grain 270 Winchester Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
This may be Federal ammunition but Winchester originally introduced the .270 rifle in 1925 as a necked down .30-03/.30-06 cartridge. It provided a thinner projectile that was capable of improved down range stability and better penetration. It remained favored only by a select few game hunters until after World War II when it became more popular as an alternative rifle caliber, especially for the many mil surplus rifles that were being repurposed or “sporterized” for a domestic caliber. Favored for deer and long range target shooting, the .270 continues to be a popular choice for sport shooting and is chambered by multiple manufacturers. The 150 grain, Nosler Partition, Vital Shok bullet by Federal has a muzzle velocity of 2830 feet per second with 2667 foot pounds of energy. It is primarily a medium sized game hunting cartridge.
Federal’s Vital Shock is designed for dropping game where they are hit, so no worries of tracking further into the field or risk losing the game, either literally or to other predators that may take advantage of your patience, hard work, and shot. The Partition has two lead cores: the forward one with the exposed point designed to expand and the rear that remains solid to maintain mass and penetration. Federal is the standard against which all other sporting ammunition is measured, with technologically superb bullets, powders and reloadable cases.
