Federal Vital-Shok Nosler Ballistic Tip 95 Grain 243 Winchester Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
As one of the most popular sporting and military calibers in the world, the .308 Winchester offers a versatility and availability that few other calibers have ever achieved. Introduced in 1952 for sporting purposes, its twin, the 7.62 NATO, was adopted two years later giving the cartridge an international exposure that few other rifle calibers have ever experienced. The fact that either caliber can be safely fired from the other’s chambers only increases the utility of both calibers. In bolt action, precision rifles, however, this .308 round by Hornady excels: and is not intended for use out of self-loading firearms. The 155 grain, A-Max bullet leaves the muzzle at 2850 feet per second with 2795 foot pounds of energy. It is the pinnacle of the company’s bullet design used for precision shooting and tactical applications.
Hornady began cartridge making in its own name during the 1960s and since then has become one of the most prominent manufacturers in the US. Their A-Max ammunition is loaded to custom specifications with the benefit of half a century’s research and development going into it. Of course, their cases are boxer primed and reloadable with more of their top of the line bullets.
