This round is loaded with a 150 grain jacketed soft point round nose projectile – aka a soft point. It’s not an inordinately sophisticated bullet; just the soft lead core requisite for terminal expansion, and the tough copper jacket it needs to penetrate deeply. Its G1 ballistic coefficient means you can dump over 1,500 ft lbs of energy into a deer or elk at 200 yards. A hundred yards downrange of a 200-yard zero, the bullet drops about -9.4”.
