This cartridge’s 40 grain bullet is primed to exit a rifle’s barrel at a velocity of 1,200 fps. At that rate the bullet has all the momentum it needs to remain supersonic after it passes 30 yards, and it’ll carry over 80 ft lbs of energy with it at 100 yards. The LRN won’t expand on impact, but the cost-effective little projectile delivers solid accuracy throughout the 22 LR’s 150-yard effective range.
