At 124 grains this round’s bullet is light enough to reach supersonic velocity (assuming your barrel is 4” or longer). The full metal jacket wouldn’t do any favors to living tissue, although its non-expanding solid point profile does make it the better choice for shooting inanimate things. The aerodynamic and balanced FMJ isn’t hiding any ferrous metals beneath its copper-alloy jacket – in other words, it is nonmagnetic.
