Target practice is fiercely important when it stands between you and competitive victory. But when you’re just shooting recyclables with your buddies, or your kids, or alone in your extremely rare free time, you still deserve excellent target ammo. That’s because all target practice is important – especially when it’s only for fun.

CCI is considered by many to be the gold standard of rimfire ammunition makers. This is the Idahoan authority’s Standard Velocity ammunition, loaded with highly uniform yet otherwise unremarkable 40 grain lead round nose projectiles. The bullet’s muzzle velocity out of a rifle’s barrel is 1,070 fps – too slow to break the sound barrier, which makes it quieter and more rotationally stable over longer distances as a result.

CCI seats their unplated, non-expanding LRN bullets in strong and straight cases, with famously reliable primers concealed just beneath the brass. A 100-round plastic box of this stuff will only get you so far. In our professional opinion, you need more than one!
