Blazer - Full Metal Jacket - 230 Grain 45 ACP Ammo - 1000 Rounds

CCI poured a tremendous amount of effort into developing the aluminum case. Once they finally perfected the trick, they created an all new brand to show off their work: Blazer! The Idaho-made ammo label now includes brass-cased ammo as well, but this right here is the classic: aircraft-grade aluminum-cased 45 ACP range ammo.

Aluminum cases offer one single advantage: greater affordability. Brass, which contains copper, is relatively expensive. Aluminum, which is the most abundant metallic element in the earth’s crust, is not. This ammo is loaded with noncorrosive Berdan primers to discourage handloaders from trying to reload it, because aluminum cases are most assuredly absolutely not reloadable.

These cartridges are loaded with perfectly normal 230 grain full metal jacket projectiles. Each one is entirely devoid of steel and will not attract a magnet. CCI recorded this ammo’s 845 fps muzzle velocity with a 5” test barrel.
