Details

The 180 grain .40 S&W Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) is the "larger and slower" version with a muzzle velocity of 985 feet per second with 388 foot lbs. With slightly less recoil, it is ideal for target shooting, but can serve for self defense in situations where hollow point ammunition is forbidden. This product is a single box of 40 SW ammo that contains 50 rounds ready to fire for either purpose.

The .40 Smith & Wesson cartridge was the end result of the FBI's search for a more potent round than the .38sp and 9mm after the infamous 1986 shootout in Miami. A shorter 10mm case using the small pistol primer met the FBI's specifications to have a stronger round without the considerably greater recoil inherent in the 10mm. While the .40 is accepted to have greater recoil than the .45acp and 9mm, it has been very popular since its debut in 1990.

Cascade Cartridge Inc., or CCI, has been manufacturing in the USA since 1963 when it was founded by Dick Speer of Speer bullets. The Blazer line is the affordable CCI line, but Blazer Brass has more value because the most expensive part of the cartridge is boxer primed brass, and is therefore reloadable. Shooting enthusiasts have come to trust the CCI brand name for its quality and reliability.

Used this ammo in my 40 baby eagle from magnum research. They worked perfectly!!! Hate to say never, but it RARELY jammed with them. Was very impressed with them. Will use them again. Except in 9 now. Thanks
