Derived from the .223 Remington that was introduced in 1961, 5.56x56 ammunition was adopted by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as the standard light and medium rifle caliber. While identical, but for the neck, to the .223 it should not be fired in .223 Remington chambers as it is loaded to higher pressures. For use in military style rifles or precision rifles chambered specifically for NATO, the round is very versatile and enjoyed by sportsmen for competitive target shooting as well as varmint and small to medium game hunting.

This 5.56 ammo is loaded with 50 grain TSX bullets by Black Hills. Expect a muzzle velocity of 3275 feet per second with 1191 foot pounds of energy. They are ideal for target and tactical shooting where maximum terminal ballistics are required and are designed for standard military 1 in 9” rifling.
